Job Summary
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the initial design and implementation of the compliance system of the overseas headquarters and US subsidiaries to ensure the compliance in registration, business license, labor and capital management, etc.
  • Provide daily legal advisory for overseas headquarters and US subsidiaries to ensure that the company's business operations comply with relevant US laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • Review, draft and modify contract documents related to the company and customers, suppliers, partners, etc. to ensure that the contract terms are legal, fair, clear and enforceable.
  • Provide labor law-related legal advice to the human resources department to handle labor contracts, employee disputes, dismissals, work-related injuries and other issues.
  • Represent the company to connect with external general or special lawyers, and convert the opinions of external lawyers into legal opinions that can be implemented by the company for implementation.
  • If necessary, represent the company to connect with external institutions or government departments to ensure the maximum interests of the company under legal and compliant conditions.

Qualifications:
  • LLM or JD from an accredited law school with at least 2 years experience in corporate legal operations.
  • Passed IL or other state bar. Relevant certifications (CCEP, CIPP, CLM, ASME, CITL, OSHA Compliance Training Certification, etc.,) are preferred.
  • Familiar with Product Liability Law, Environmental Law, Export Controls and Trade Sanctions Compliance
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding efficient and effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, document management systems, and office software.
  • Excellence communication and coordination skills, able to communicate effectively with various departments within the company, external lawyers and government departments.
  • Able to work closely with company management and business departments to provide timely and accurate legal advice.
