As a Certified Dietary Manager you will be responsible for overseeing Culinary Advisor and the daily operations of the foodservice department, according to the facility policy and procedures and state/federal guidelines. Knowledge of infection control. Process new diet orders and diet changes; keep meal ordering system and Rolodex updated. Complete the Care Plan and assigned MDS section according to required timeline. Determine elder diet needs and develop appropriate dietary plans in cooperation with RD and in compliance with physician's orders. Review plan of care related to nutritional status; document concerns that can be resolved, improved, or addressed to improve the elder's nutritional status and eating function. Review, revise,
implement, in cooperation with the IDT, the elder's nutrition assessment and plan of care. Work closely with and support registered dietician as needed. You will find meaningful work in this role with the opportunity to collaborate and make a positive impact every day!
Responsibilities:
  • Assures meals are prepared and served according to menus and compliance with nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in the training of dining services to ensure food safety and adherence to local/state/federal regulations and quality customer service as well as resident nutrition needs per facility policies.
  • Plans menus in consultation with Chef to meet required regulations.
  • Meets with residents and families to accommodate food needs and preferences.
  • Documents in medical records food/dining consultations with nursing care residents.

Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of Certified Dietary Manager exam
  • Two Years' experience in Foodservice Management
