Job description

A growing financial technology organization in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer II to support and maintain critical infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role focuses heavily on Red Hat Linux administration, AWS cloud services, infrastructure automation, and enterprise systems support. You'll work with a team responsible for maintaining the performance, security, and availability of large-scale hosting environments that support both internal operations and customer-facing platforms.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Linux engineer who enjoys working across diverse infrastructure technologies and solving complex operational challenges. The team is responsible for a broad range of technologies including Linux, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage, and datacenter systems, providing excellent exposure to modern infrastructure practices. They're looking for someone who can operate independently, contribute to infrastructure improvements, and help drive reliability and automation initiatives in a mission-critical environment.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of Red Hat Linux system administration experience
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and CloudWatch
  • Experience with Bash scripting and automation
  • Understanding of data-at-rest encryption technologies
  • Experience administering and maintaining production Linux environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Ability to support both cloud and on-premises infrastructure
