Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
We are specifically looking for a candidate who will serve as a liaison across the different Revenue Cycle areas as it relates to charges - collaborating with the patient access, clinical, ancillary, revenue integrity, HIM, coding, and billing departments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, building/modifying/inactivating charges, managing work queues within Cerner Millennium and Oracle Health Patient Accounting (OHPAC), and providing support to revenue cycle implementation projects from a charging perspective

This position specifically requires at least 4 years or Cerner Millennium Charge Services build experience. This position requires experience and proficiency with Cerner Charge Services build applications, such as Pricing Tool, Charge Viewer, Charge Transformation, Tiering Logic, Miscellaneous Setup, and other related Charge Services applications.


The Applications Systems Analyst III reviews, analyzes and modifies programming/build of systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application system. Consults with team and users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program initiatives. Will be expected to write documentation; including but not limited to manuals, CSC Knowledge Base and SOP's to describe program development, logic, coding, corrections, installation and operating systems. Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
This position will require on-call responsibilities and rotational shift coverage (early and late-shifts) as needed. This position acts as a liaison to other AtlantiCare departments as needed.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in IT, nursing, or related required (Or 2 additional years of related experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: 4 years related experience required. Clinical/financial experience as it relates to healthcare IT preferred.

* Coordinates the selection and purchase of hardware and related equipment that meet business needs.*
* Will serve as a lead and/or participate in enhancements and projects.*
* Leads incident, change and problem management services as it relates to their respective team within AtlantiCare IT.*
* Makes sound recommendations and assists in the implementation of processes and workflows that enhance the use of system applications and/or facilitates quality improvement initiatives*.
* Effectively integrates computer systems and processes across functions/business units.*
* Collaborates effectively with project team members and applies accepted project management principles.*
* Assumes project leadership responsibility or assists other project leaders as required.*
* Ensures a smooth and thorough turnover process to technical and operational support.*
* Maintains an expert/in-depth knowledge of the application and the departments using the application.*
* May develop and provide training to users.*
* Develops and maintains an expert/in depth level of knowledge of the system application and/or service by effectively resolving daily problems and issues. Responsible for innovative enhancement of system functionality.*
* Consistently and accurately maintains the system database as well as supporting documents to include new information and system codes, policies, and procedures, user guides/manuals, and periodic data maintenance (purging, re-indexing, and/or change management documentation testing) as required.*
* Responds effectively and timely to user issues and problems; acts as a resource and mentor to other departments and application systems analysts.*
* Generates accurate and timely reports, ensuring data validity.*
* Performs system tests and audits; makes recommendations for resolution of system issues or establishment of new procedures.*
* Assists in the technical development of staff in their area to identify on-the-job training, formal training and work assignments. This includes providing feedback to the employee on their performance expectation as it relates to the technical aspect of their job.*
* Leads by example, motivates and promotes positive team morale.*
* Understands and practices the AtlantiCare values.*
* Adheres to AtlantiCare and AIT Policies and Procedures.*
* Performs other duties as assigned.*

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works with such equipment as computers, laptops, printers, fax machine, copier, and telephone. This position requires repetitive motion, fingering, hearing, pushing, reaching, reading, calculating, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking a majority of the time. Occasional driving also required.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership.
