Job description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Cerner technologies, healthcare IT systems, and enterprise clinical applications. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments, healthcare data integrations, EHR implementations, and enterprise-scale migration initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with clinical, operational, and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and business processes to gather system requirements and translate them into technical and data specifications.
  • Support large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations, migrations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
  • Design, develop, execute, and optimize Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts in production environments.
  • Support Cerner Millennium architecture, Oracle databases, and enterprise healthcare application ecosystems.
  • Design and support data extraction, transformation, migration, and integration processes.
  • Build and maintain ETL processes supporting enterprise healthcare data movement and reporting needs.
  • Develop and support RESTful APIs, SOA services, and enterprise integration solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application, database, and system performance issues across distributed environments.
  • Support healthcare reporting, analytics, and interoperability initiatives.
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams on system performance, networking, and scalability improvements.
  • Create technical documentation, integration designs, workflow diagrams, and support documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
  • Support cloud-hosted healthcare applications across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI platforms.
Required Qualifications
  • 11+ years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical systems, or enterprise application support.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, hospital operations, and healthcare business processes.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale EHR implementations, migrations, or optimization projects.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL), including script development, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle database environments.
  • Strong experience with SQL, Linux, and enterprise data extraction or migration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting ETL processes.
  • Experience with healthcare data integrations and reporting environments.
  • Experience developing and supporting REST API / SOA-based integrations.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and system performance tuning.
  • Experience with data extraction, system integration, and code development.
  • Working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, or OCI technologies.
  • Hands-on experience supporting or developing services on public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Cerner Millennium production environments.
  • Prior experience serving as a Senior Cerner Consultant, Systems Analyst, or Technical Lead.
  • Experience working with enterprise hospital systems or healthcare organizations.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
