Job Description

The Healthcare Revenue Cycle Advisory and Solution Engineering Team Lead reports to the PMI Healthcare Head and operates as a player/coach responsible for leading a team of healthcare industry subject matter experts focused on healthcare payments, revenue cycle operations, treasury optimization, and healthcare technology integration. This client-facing leadership role is responsible for developing advisory strategies, thought leadership content, and industry best practices that help healthcare organizations improve financial performance and operational efficiency across the revenue and payment lifecycle.
The Team Lead will manage and develop a team of 3-4 advisors with expertise in healthcare payment ecosystems, Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms, practice management systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications, and healthcare treasury workflows. The individual will engage directly with healthcare providers, health systems, and other healthcare organizations to understand their operational, financial, and technology environments and provide consultative guidance on how U.S. Bank solutions align with their unique needs.
This role serves as a strategic advisor and industry expert, collaborating closely with sales, product, treasury management, merchant services, implementation, and healthcare innovation teams to support client growth objectives, complex deal pursuits, and long-term product strategy initiatives.

Essential Functions

Client Advisory Leadership

Serve as a player/coach, leading a team of healthcare treasury and revenue cycle advisors while maintaining direct engagement with strategic healthcare clients and prospects. Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations by providing consultative guidance on treasury, payments, receivables, disbursements, revenue cycle management, and healthcare financial operations. Lead client discussions and discovery sessions with senior stakeholders across Treasury, Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, Finance, Accounts Payable, Patient Financial Services, and Executive Leadership teams. Assess client operating environments and technology ecosystems to identify opportunities to improve cash flow, payment automation, reconciliation processes, patient payments, supplier payments, and financial performance.

Healthcare Technology & Integration Expertise

Develop and maintain expertise in healthcare technology platforms, including Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Meditech, athenahealth, and other relevant healthcare financial systems. Advise clients and internal stakeholders on healthcare payments integration best practices and system architecture considerations that support successful treasury and payment solution adoption. Partner with implementation, product, and technical teams to align solution designs with healthcare industry workflows and technology requirements.

Thought Leadership & Industry Strategy

Develop healthcare-focused thought leadership, best practice frameworks, market insights, and educational content that position U.S. Bank as a leader in healthcare payments, treasury management, and revenue cycle innovation. Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, technology advancements, and emerging healthcare payment models to inform client recommendations and internal strategy. Represent U.S. Bank at healthcare industry events, client forums, executive briefings, and internal leadership meetings as a subject matter expert.

Sales & Deal Support

Partner closely with the Healthcare PMI Sales organization to support complex sales opportunities, strategic account planning, solution positioning, and deal strategy development. Participate in exploratory, diagnostic, and solution-presentation meetings to help clients understand the operational and technological value of U.S. Bank capabilities. Provide industry expertise that strengthens U.S. Bank’s ability to win new business and deepen strategic client relationships.

Product & Innovation Leadership

Collaborate with product management and senior leadership to identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging client needs within the healthcare payments ecosystem. Develop and present strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding healthcare product enhancements, integration priorities, innovation initiatives, and market positioning opportunities. Support the execution of the Bank’s Healthcare Innovation strategy by providing direct client insights, market intelligence, and industry expertise.

Team Development & Leadership

Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of healthcare advisors, fostering a culture of expertise, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Establish performance objectives, professional development plans, and operational priorities for the advisory team. Promote effective knowledge sharing and consistency in advisory methodologies, client engagement practices, and industry expertise across the team.

Risk & Compliance

Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies, and procedures.

Accountabilities

Decisions are made in conjunction with major corporate programs, healthcare industry initiatives, product strategies, and client engagement activities. Independent judgment is regularly exercised in advising clients, influencing solution design, and recommending strategic initiatives. Recommendations and actions have material impact on client relationships, healthcare industry growth strategies, product development priorities, revenue generation, and the overall success of U.S. Bank’s Healthcare vertical.

Specifications / Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in healthcare treasury management, healthcare payments, revenue cycle operations, healthcare technology, healthcare consulting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage executive-level stakeholders and lead consultative conversations with healthcare organizations.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare financial workflows, including patient billing, reimbursement, receivables, payments, cash management, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology ecosystems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), practice management platforms, ERP systems, and healthcare payment integrations.
  • Strong leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and executive influence skills.
  • Ability to translate complex operational and technical concepts into actionable business recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Meditech, athenahealth, Workday, Oracle ERP, SAP, Infor, or similar healthcare and financial platforms.
  • Experience supporting treasury management, merchant services, healthcare payments, financial technology, revenue cycle technology, or healthcare consulting engagements.
  • Experience partnering with product management and technology organizations to support innovation, product strategy, and client-centered solution development.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare payment modernization, digital transformation initiatives, and system integration best practices.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $158,310.00 - 193,490.00
