Job description

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing project and technical leadership to design, implement, maintain and support LifeBridge Health's information technology servers and related systems. Also includes resource management and mentoring in a matrix environment.

Technical skills:

  • Deep understanding of Cerner Millennium Patient Accounting (CPA), including facility billing, claims processing, reimbursement workflows, and payment posting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Athena IDX for professional billing, including charge capture, claims processing, and reconciliation workflows.
  • Experience with Cerner Charge Services, Contract Management, and General Ledger Interface.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, CCL (Cerner Command Language), and data extraction tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Cerner Revenue Cycle workflows, including integration with PowerChart, Scheduling, and Registration.
  • Experience configuring and optimizing Cerner Business Office Services (BOS).
  • Understanding of data structures across Cerner Millennium and Athena IDX, including upstream and downstream system integrations.
  • Familiarity with statement processing workflows and integrations; working knowledge of Flywire or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of interface development and integration (HL7, FHIR, APIs) with third-party systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Cerner Millennium and Athena IDX applications, resolve system issues, and optimize financial operations.

Healthcare Revenue Cycle & Compliance Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of hospital and physician billing, charge capture, payment reconciliation, claims adjudication, and denial management.
  • understanding of statement processing, agency workflows, and downstream billing impacts to patient financial experience and collections.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, payer regulations, ICD-10, CPT coding, and other healthcare compliance standards.
  • Experience with DRG (Diagnosis-Related Groups), APC (Ambulatory Payment Classification), and reimbursement models.
  • Familiarity with Epic, Meditech, or other EHR revenue cycle systems is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice in a specialized field. 7+ years overall progressive hands on experience in information technology. Knowledge of Cerner, Basic networking and TCP/IP troubleshooting, Server Hardware Installation and Configuration, Windows/Unix Server Administration.

Pay Range: $42.08 to $77.97 Based On Experience
