Job Description: File Transfer Services Developer/Support with (Azure Exp)

Position Overview

Archer File Transfer Services team is seeking a highly skilled File Transfer Services Developer to configure and support file transmissions using pre-approved products and protocols. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of multiple file transfer protocols and solutions, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work directly with customers and internal business partners to deliver tailored transmission solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Configure file transmission solutions using BizManager (OpenText), Sterling File Gateway (IBM), Connect: Direct (IBM), Connect: Enterprise (IBM), and Sterling Control Center (IBM).
  • Provide technical support for various file transfer protocols, including SFTP, HTTPS, and AS2.
  • Implement encryption solutions such as PGP for secure transmissions.
  • Conduct centralized monitoring, automation, and service-level alerting.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate technical issues related to file transmissions.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and provide technical recommendations.
  • Provide workload provisioning and maintain operational documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of file transfer products and protocols.
  • Working knowledge of z/OS, Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow for incident management.
  • Experience with SQL-based databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, and Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab.
  • Monitoring tools experience, such as AppDynamics, Prometheus, Splunk, Cloud Probes, and Moog.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as Pentaho and Snowflake.
  • Experience automating deployments and repetitive tasks.

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of network topologies and connectivity methods.
  • Knowledge of vulnerabilities management and analyzing securities data.
  • Experience working with market vendor pricing feeds and time-sensitive projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 6 years of development or infrastructure support experience.
  • 10+ years of diverse experience in information technology.
  • Finance industry experience preferred.
