JOB SUMMARY:
Capital Precast has openings for Laborers at our San Marcos facility. As part of the Capital Precast team, we invite you to join our company that values professional development, opportunity for growth, and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up and clean up steel pallets for concrete molds
  • Cut, bend and place welded wire mesh and steel rebar
  • Prepare forms for filling concrete
  • Clean up and maintain equipment after daily runs
  • Assemble forms amp; molds for concrete production
  • General facility maintenance and housekeeping
  • Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience
  • Knowledge of commonly used industry concepts, practices, and procedures (preferred)
  • Exercise good judgement regarding worksite unloading and operation
  • Ability to perform well as a team
  • Self motivator and must be flexible in order to accommodate needs of your team
  • Safety minded when performing tasks
  • Ability and willingness to learn and be trained
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
  • Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
  • Work in confined spaces

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Carrying/Lifting/Pushing/Pulling (around 10 to 50 pounds frequently)
  • Walking, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulder
  • Ability to climb on and off equipment.
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and operating equipment.
SCHEDULE:
  • Monday thru Friday
  • Typically 10 hour shifts
  • Weekends as needed
  • Holiday availability, as needed
  • Willingness to work early mornings and extended hours as needed to meet delivery schedules.
