Full-Time Seasonal Coach Cleaner Janitor - CCCR
Overview
Cape Cod Central Railroad is currently hiring for the role of Seasonal Train Coach Cleaner Janitor. The Cleaner Janitor will be responsible for the detailed cleaning of the interior of passenger railcars. This is a critical role in ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for employees and train guests.
This is a full-time seasonal position in Hyannis, MA, and Buzzards Bay, MA; with competitive pay. We offer opportunities for career growth and advancement within Cape Cod Central Railroad and Mass Coastal Railroad.
Duties
Detailed cleaning includes:
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming entire train car
- Wiping down train seats and tables
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines
- Report any train car maintenance or repair needs to supervisor

Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have previous cleaning experience, and should be able to follow written or spoken directions. Candidate should be able to work independently and efficiently. The candidate should be thorough, and take pride in one's work.
Previous commercial or residential cleaning experience; at least 1 year
High school diploma / GED
Ability to understand and clearly speak English
Physically fit; candidate should have the ability to climb, kneel, crawl, and lift minimum 40 pounds
