Job description

Centerview Health in Toms River, NJ, is looking for Medical Assistants to become part of our team. We have openings for both full-time and part-time positions. While having certification as a medical assistant is a plus, we are willing to provide training for committed individuals who are not certified. Compensation:

$16 hourly


Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Administer injections or medications as directed by the healthcare provider
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests and blood draws
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records
  • Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and follow-up care


Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Positive work attitude

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program
