Salary:
Provides administrative support to nursing administration team (Director of Nursing, Nursing Manager, Nursing Supervisors, Clinical Educator Office Coordinator, and Hospitalists).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates appropriate interactions with patients, physicians, and staff.
Maintains confidentiality of patients, staff, and physicians.
Follows all clinic policies and procedures.
General Responsibilities:
- Administrative Assistant assists in projects, patient dismissals, census management, planning meetings, taking minutes, and assisting in preparing reports.
- Administrative Assistant provides clerical support such as answering and directing phone calls, greeting visitors, opening and distributing correspondence, filing, and ordering office supplies.
- Prepares a variety of administrative reports, statements, and rosters.
- Originates and maintains agendas, minutes, and post-meeting correspondence for all nursing administration meetings.
- Supports Hospitalists with calls, schedules, correspondence management, and continuing patient communication.
- Maintains hospital census.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Associates Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
3-5 years administrative/secretarial experience required.
Hospital/Healthcare experience preferred.
Required Skills:
- Type a minimum of 45 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Excellent customer service skills.
- Familiar with laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to hospital and long-term care administrative procedures.
