Job description

Mount Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI has a great opportunity to join a fantastic team as an Administrative Assistant!
You must be able to speak and write fluently in both English and Spanish.
The administrative assistant is the face and voice and the very first person that a family member will see or talk with when they arrive at the cemetery.
Catholic Funeral amp; Cemetery Services partners with Dioceses across the United States in the operation of their cemeteries. Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant is a multitask position, taking on administrative and receptionist duties, and is a very important resource for making things happen and making things run smoothly. The Administrative Assistant will have a working knowledge of cemetery and/or funeral center operations, processes, and procedures. This Administrative Assistant will demonstrate core values - Share the Journey, Serve with Care, and Make it Happen-in ALL their dealings with families, staff members, and internal/external contacts. This position reports to the location manager and interacts with internal departments and location staff members, families and other external service providers.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Act in a courteous, professional, and customer-focused manner
  • Must have strong time management skills and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Process work and burial permits in a timely and concise manner
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the Catholic faith, rituals, and traditions
  • Understand the Order of Christian Funerals

Qualifications:
  • Bilingual-Fluent in Spanish and English required
  • High School Diploma/GED .College degree a plus or 2-4 years in experience in an office environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check
  • Ability to lift or move objects weighing between 25-30 pounds
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The position is a full-time (40 hours a week) salaried position working in- person at Mount Olivet Cemetery-3801 W. Morgan Ave. Milwaukee, WI
  • This position provides a full scope of employment benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flextime, Catholic school tuition assistance for children of employees, a 403b, and a pension program.
