Summary

We are seeking a Market Research Data Analyst to lead the programming, field execution, data engineering, and statistical analysis components of our quantitative research efforts.

This role will partner closely with the research lead (who owns study design and business framing) and will serve as the technical backbone of our market research function.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in survey programming, data cleaning, statistical modeling, automation, and scalable research workflows.

What You'll Do:

Survey Programming & Field Operations

  • Program complex surveys in platforms such as Qualtrics (or equivalent).
  • Implement advanced logic, piping, quotas, randomization, and custom scripting.
  • Manage survey testing, debugging, and quality assurance.
  • Oversee fielding logistics, sampling specifications, and vendor coordination.
  • Monitor field progress and ensure data quality standards.

Data Engineering & Processing

  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines for survey exports.
  • Clean, transform, and validate large datasets.
  • Develop reusable code for standard reporting outputs.
  • Maintain data documentation and governance standards.

Statistical Analysis & Modeling

  • Conduct advanced statistical analysis including:
    • Regression analysis
    • Segmentation & clustering
    • Conjoint / MaxDiff (if applicable)
    • Weighting methodologies
    • Significance testing

Collaboration

  • Partner with research leadership on study feasibility and technical approach.
  • Provide guidance on sampling design and analytical methods.
  • Translate technical results into clear summaries for non-technical stakeholders (limited storytelling, more technical clarity).
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelors Degree is required
  • 5-7 years of experience in:
    • Market research analytics
    • Survey programming & fielding
    • Quantitative data analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • R or Python
    • Qualex 
    • Survey platforms
  • Strong statistical foundation.
  • Experience managing large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

    • SQL
    • API integrations
    • Dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI)
    • Data warehousing
  • Familiarity with advanced research techniques (conjoint, segmentation).
  • Experience improving or building research infrastructure from scratch.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $90k-115k.  Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
