Job description

CEMCO is recognized as the largest manufacturer of steel framing and metal lath in the western United States. During your first two weeks, you will be paired with a seasoned employee to introduce you to our environment and help you get comfortable in our house. Come check us out! The manufacturing facilities are heavily industrial with fast moving parts, heavy, sharp objects, and machinery. The environment is loud and subject to ambient conditions.

SHIFT HOURS

7:00 AM- 3:45PM - OT may be required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for completing breakdowns.
  • Apply the necessary pallet tag, spray paint gauge color on pallet edges, safely operate banding machine to ensure metal strapping and wood blocks to pallets.
  • Order preparation; verify material, count, pallet tags & paperwork and package material/orders.
  • Ensure forklift is maintained by doing a self-inspection daily.

  • Responsible for completing breakdowns.
  • Attending to customer will calls in a timely fashion.
  • Keeping the yard, breakdown area, and equipment clean at all times.
  • Conduct quality control inspections on finished products.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Other duties as necessary

REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous forklift experience in handling material on a forklift.
  • Operate sit down forklift including loading and unloading trucks, moving material to and from breakdown area, yard, and warehouse.
  • Experience in loading full, 48-foot flatbed trailers along with smaller straight trucks, preferred.
  • Experience in handling steel material that is up to 60 feet long, preferred
  • CEMCO is an industrial, machine shop environment. You must be comfortable working in an area that can be loud, hot, and dirty. Many of the jobs at CEMCO are repetitive in nature.
  • You must always wear the required safety equipment: Safety glasses, work gloves, ear protection, long pants, sleeved shirts, and work boots/shoes.
  • Follow CEMCOโ€™s safety practices and policies.
  • Other duties, as necessary.
