Job description

Your Impact:

Pearce Services is seeking skilled and motivated entry level technicians to join our team in servicing and repairing commercial generators and HVAC equipment on cell tower and telecom sites. Candidates should be responsible, highly motivated, willing to travel, and reside in the Rochester, NYย area for these local positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and repair generators, and HVAC systems at telecom and cell tower sites.
  • Maintain commercial package cooling systems supporting telecom equipment shelters.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, load-bank testing, and performance checks.
  • Perform basic generator repairs, oil changes, lubrication, and fuel system maintenance.
  • Respond to 24/7 emergency callouts and complete accurate service reports.

Core Experience:

  • 1+ year generator and/or HVAC service experience (technical school accepted) preferred but not required.
  • Preferred experience with ATS, electrical troubleshooting, and critical power systems.
  • EPA Universal or Type II Certification preferred: EGSA a plus.
  • Knowledge of FCC, FAA, EPA, OSHA standards.
  • Must have a valid driver's license for at least a year with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Physical/Work Environment:

At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.

  • Lift 50+ lbs.; climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Extensive travel to telecom sites; independent field work.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
  • Must be able to meet the requirements of a DOT driver including physical, background and driving record.
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
