Job Description: BPCM is seeking an experienced candidate based in LA to lead our fast-growing Influencer + Celebrity Relations Practice. The VP/SVP is responsible for day-to-day management and development of the Celebrity and Influencer teams. We are seeking a leader who can work across this wide range of clients from mass to luxury with differing scopes, budgets and needs. The ideal candidate will lead their team across a range of services including: talent strategy development, casting and deal-making, red carpet dressing, product seeding, entertainment strategy, influencer relations (earned and paid), special events, community building and partnerships. This person will possess the ability to work cross-functionally within and beyond BPCMโ€™s differing Practices and Departments and has experience in successfully maintaining and strategically growing an agency practice. This role works alongside BPCM Partners and the agencyโ€™s other executive leadership to foster and grow our client roster. Requirements DAY-TO-DAY MANAGEMENT: Responsible for a growing Influencer + Celebrity Relations team, LA (5) Effectively lead, manage and mentor senior team members, while maintaining relationships with the junior team members to ensure a robust talent pipeline and foster career growth Support clientโ€™s strategy and ensure articulation of the brandโ€™s desired image and position, consistent communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external. Seamlessly manage and work across all BPCM divisions and practices, (Fashion, Beauty, Corporate Communications, Travel, Wine & Spirits) to foster seamless integration of Influencer + Celebrity Relations service teams across all accounts Provide high-level strategic direction to clients on planning, initiatives and overall brand positioning Ensure each clientโ€™s strategic plans are KPI-based and goal-driven and that our teams meet or exceed those KPIs and/or goals Oversee all reporting for various clients including, but not limited to: weekly, monthly, and wrap up reports โ€“ analyzing + summarizing data (calculating total impressions #, examining trends, key learnings, gathering feedback and sharing insights, etc.) TALENT PROCUREMENT: Drive effective talent strategy and procurement for all Agency clientsโ€™ celebrity and/or influencer focused programs and campaigns Participate in internal and client dialogue and ongoing meetings and brainstorms about clientโ€™s talent campaign needs and devise strategies to move projects forward Assist in talent casting needs for the agency, including vetting, researching and creating client-facing talent casting documents Manage and/or support other team members on talent outreach and negotiations on behalf of Agency clients; assignments include drafting talent SOW, conducting outreach to talent representatives, drafting and sending talent Formal Offer and consulting on, managing revisions for, and negotiating Long Form Agreement in conjunction with legal counsel Serve as point of contact for talent and talent representation, including but not limited to coordinating all communication and scheduling with appropriate parties throughout Campaign Thoughtfully cast talent for special client initiatives, based off client goals: aesthetic, brand awareness, conversion, etc. Identify rising talent, pop culture trends, and analyze data within a variety of industries and markets to inform client business strategies, existing client objectives and new client acquisition Manage special seeding projects with high-performing talent who elevate and convert for brands in markets all over the world Serve as a representative of the client and Agency on-site at client events, media interviews, service days, etc. Help oversee the management and execution (scheduling, approval process, briefing materials, etc.) of all talent services Help oversee the management and coordination of logistics for talent services including, but not limited to talent travel and transportation, talent glam, and all logistics related to remote or on-site service days Manage necessary communication with SAG-AFTRA signatory in order to fulfil Agency clientโ€™s obligation to SAG-AFTRA regulation Ability to understand relevant entertainment industry trends and use the information to develop strategic talent recommendations, programs and/or campaigns for clients Maintain strong relationships with talent agents, managers, publicists, personal assistants, talent, costume designers, prop masters, etc. INFLUENCER: Act as a thought leader within the company and an authority on the ever-changing social media landscape; stay current with best practices, trends, innovative tools and industry standards related to Influencer Marketing, PR and social media Participation in the development of program/campaign ideas in the influencer space inclusive of content creative, influencer usage or earned opportunities Oversite of the influencer relations team for development of brand influencer strategies and approach specifically around size and scale, archetype, and channel priorities. Proficiency in understanding and maintaining a clientโ€™s/brandโ€™s social media voice and tone Oversee and support influencer contracts with a strong knowledge of Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and standard deals Stay informed on social platforms and legal updates. Ensure the team is compliant across all legal requirements, privacy, brand, and platform restrictions Own the agencies influencer measurement suite: including modeling, establishing Key Performance Indexes, demographics analysis, measurement, calculating return on investment, and real-time reporting Oversees the care of BPCMโ€™s database ensuring current contacts and new industry contacts across all portfolios Serve as a subject matter expert proactively bringing thought leadership and trends both to the agency team and to client partners In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience with Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, SnapChat, YouTube, Pinterest, Blogs, etc.) MEDIA & SPECIAL EVENTS: Planning and executing media-specific events including celebrity, influencer and KOL events. Support would include developing invite lists, managing RSVPs, wrangling media on-site, drafting and distributing post-event releases, etc. Have a strong understanding of the media landscape, media/marketing trends and be adept in the development of comprehensive media strategies Provide strategic counsel to colleagues and clients for West Coast and Entertainment outlets Guide the team in developing a strong network with key editors and journalists across entertainment, consumer, lifestyle, business, trade and broadcast media Drafting, editing and proofreading materials including press releases, blog content, pitches, fact sheets, FAQs, briefing notes, and client correspondence. DEPARTMENT LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES As the leader of the Influencer + Celebrity Relations department, and the Los Angeles office, this role sits as part of the senior leadership team of the company. Department lead duties entail operation of the division, ranging from employee development to recruitment Partner with HR for effective and timely recruiting for all open roles Cultivate a robust pipeline of candidates for levels ranging from entry level to Director to tap into as the business needs shift Partner with Chief Financial Officer to ensure department financial targets are met or exceeded Participate in weekly management status meetings, bringing relevant topics to the meeting for discussion and communicate to team, as necessary Lead performance review process for 2 direct reports, while providing year-round feedback on areas of opportunity Talent map team members growth trajectory inclusive of promotions and salary increases Consistently evaluate current client fees and workload, request fee increases and/or team changes where appropriate Work with Partners and Chief Financial Officer on time tracking data and analysis to ensure fees are in line with the work required Capture client updates, salary increases and promotions within the latest forecast model Implement SOW Trackers to be updated by teams to ensure proper staffing to scope of work BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Lead the business development of BPCM Influencer + Celebrity Relations alongside BPCM Partners and EVP, Growth + Strategy, cultivating relationships in the market for new business opportunities Maintain a robust new business pipeline ensuring productivity goals are met within the forecast Serve as the main contact for all Influencer + Celebrity Relations new business opportunities Partner with team to project manage new business process ranging from deadline management, capabilities deck to proposal, scope of work development, contracting and staffing Identify areas of opportunity for BPCM across divisions, utilize industry contacts to gather information and make recommendations to Partners on how to grow BPCMโ€™s business CLIENT RELATIONS Of the BPCM Influencer + Celebrity Relations clients, participate in a client-facing manner for priority clients ensuring the highest touch service possible Participate in weekly client calls when necessary and in order to maintain successful client relations Foster senior level client relationships that allow for free-flowing feedback between both client and agency team Partner with clients to identify areas of opportunity for the team and implement necessary changes and optimizations Responsible for communicating to clients BPCM senior team changes (AE + above) and new hire plans to client leadership Provide senior level counsel to clients in the areas of Celebrity, Entertainment and Influencer related programs, initiatives and trends Actively red flag any foreseeable issues in order to mitigate client risk CLIENT INVOICING, BUDGETS AND EXPENSES Oversee client pre-bills and budget management, in conjunction with account team Implement transparent budget tracking process and facilitate BPCM finance reconciliation Facilitate budget updates to clients on a regular and consistent basis, Ensure all projects are either under or on-budget Track all surplus funds and oversee client team recommendations for re-allocation QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 10 years of experience at a PR agency and/or in house; experience and expertise within Celebrity, Entertainment and Influencer programs Adept at multi-tasking, working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment Foster a diverse, inclusive and supportive working environment for all team members Bachelors Degree, preferably in related fields such as Marketing, PR, Communications and/or Journalism Ideal candidate to have preexisting relationships of agent, publicist, manager, and talent contacts Strong writing, communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, agency principals and colleagues Possess a combination of creative and strategic thinking Superior writing, communication and presentation skills Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills; adept at developing rapport with clients to maintain strong working relationships Team leader with ability to mentor and develop junior team members Independent thinker with hands-on can-do, โ€œroll up your sleevesโ€ attitude Possess strong management, team development and communication skills Highly organized, detail oriented and possessing the ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline oriented and high-energy environment Out of the box thinker who can contribute to agency wide brainstorms Display high attention to detail for all work and the ability to project manage multiple executions in a fast-paced, client service-focused environment BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision Benefits401k and additional supplementary benefitsWFH StipendSummer FridaysGenerous PTO policy with a 2-week holiday break in December This role will be hybrid, 3 days minimum in office.
