Job description

ABOUT PATRICK TA BEAUTY
Patrick Ta Beauty was founded in 2019 by celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta alongside his business partners Rima Minasyan and Avo Minasyan. The brand is rooted in Patrick's decades of artistry and his signature red-carpet glow. The brand launched with a mission to make red carpet artistry accessible to all - creating luxurious, easy-to-use formulas designed for both professionals and everyday beauty lovers. The brand is built on intentional innovation, focusing on products that elevate and simplify makeup application.
Patrick Ta Beauty is best known for its award-winning duo blushes and its glow-enhancing formulas, which emphasize the power of layering and multi-dimensional color. Since launch, the brand has achieved top-tier rankings at Sephora, with a cult following among makeup artists, celebrities, and everyday beauty enthusiasts alike. Patrick Ta Beauty is shaping the future of modern luxury beauty, pushing boundaries with pro-inspired innovation that meets consumer-friendly functionality.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Patrick Ta Beauty is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team, reporting directly to the Controller. Working alongside two existing Senior Accountants, this role will own specific accounting functions including inventory reconciliations, cost accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will serve as a key partner to the Controller and finance team, taking ownership of complex accounting processes and contributing to the continued growth and financial integrity of the company.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in general accounting with specific expertise in inventory management, cost analysis, and month-end close processes. You'll join a collaborative finance team where we view ourselves as business partners to the brand - not just back-office processors. Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), beauty, or retail industries is highly valued.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is ready to build and refine processes - not just follow existing ones. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with experience in high-growth or startup environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory & Cost Accounting
  • Own the inventory sub-ledger including reconciliation between NetSuite and third-party logistics (3PL) provider(s) and manufacturers; investigate variances, determine and recommend inventory adjustments.
  • Understand and perform cost accounting functions including landed cost calculations (freight, duty, and inbound logistics allocation across SKUs), and COGS reporting.
  • Prepare gross margin analysis by SKU, product line, and sales channel.
General Ledger & Financial Reporting
  • Maintain and own assigned general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy through regular account analysis and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries as part of the monthly and year-end close process.
  • Support the month-end close process (currently 7 business days) while continuously identifying opportunities to streamline and reduce the close cycle.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports, including variance analysis and commentary for leadership.
Accounts Payable, Receivable & Banking
  • Perform accounts payable processing including 3-way matching, invoice entry, vendor setup and maintenance, and payment scheduling.
  • Manage accounts receivable functions including customer invoicing, cash application, collection efforts, and aging analysis.
  • Manage customer chargebacks including trend analysis, dispute resolution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to reduce chargeback occurrence.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card activities, record cash transfers, and ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Analyze and accrue trade spend including co-op advertising and promotional allowances.
Audit, Tax & Compliance
  • Support the annual audit process; manage assigned PBC (Prepared By Client) requests, coordinate with external auditors, and resolve audit inquiries.
  • Own state and local tax compliance including working with outside tax accountants for sales tax filings and year-end 1099 issuance.
  • Prepare schedules supporting the external tax provider, including state apportionment.
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Document and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the company scales.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations on inventory reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with fellow Senior Accountants and the Controller to ensure consistent processes and knowledge-sharing across the finance team.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; CPA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with inventory reconciliations, physical counts, and cost accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, data analysis).
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), beauty, retail, or e-commerce industries strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth or startup environment is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with the broader finance team.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Bonus Opportunity
  • Health Benefits
  • 401(k) With a Company March
  • Product Discount Program
  • Flexibility & Wellness Stipend
  • Paid Leave Programs
  • Paid Holidays & Summer Fridays

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Salary Range Opportunity:
  • The hiring range for this role is $90,000 - 105,000 USD

Our salary ranges are informed by verified market data and reflect our commitment to competitive pay within our size and industry.
