Job description

Hampden-Sydney College has an immediate opening for a Carpenter. Reporting to the Building Maintenance Supervisor, the Carpenter will perform journeyman level carpentry work involving the planning, layout, construction, repair and assembly of temporary and permanent cabinets, tables, desks, platforms, additions, partitions, bookshelves, wooden structures and fixtures; prepare materials and labor costs as required. Perform repairs to windows, doors, walls, ceilings, floors, and repair furniture as needed. Hiring Range: $17.50 - $21.78 per hour.

Qualifications: High School graduate, 1 - 3 years previous experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid driver's license.
