Job description

Staffworks Group is actively seeking experienced Commercial Carpenters for projects in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

Pay is based on experience $29 - 30/hr

Must have:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute construction duties ranging from general labor tasks to advanced commercial carpentry techniques.
  • Install and frame metal stud walls according to project specifications.
  • Hang, finish, and repair drywall systems.
  • Install acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) grid systems and ceiling tiles.
  • Install and repair VCT (Vinyl Composition Tile) flooring.
  • Install, adjust, and repair doors, frames, and door hardware.
  • Perform basic concrete work, including forming, patching, and finishing.
  • Install and repair fencing systems as required.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with project teams.
  • Maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety standards.

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in commercial carpentry and construction.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following:
  • Metal stud framing
  • Drywall installation and finishing
  • ACT grid ceilings
  • VCT flooring
  • Doors and door hardware
  • Concrete work
  • Fence installation
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Preferred

  • Well-rounded commercial construction experience.
  • Additional building trade skills such as finish carpentry, framing, renovations, maintenance, or general contracting.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
