Your Role at Acousti
The Acoustical Ceiling Helper / Laborer is responsible for assisting with ceiling grid and tile installation on commercial and government job sites. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in the field and the opportunity to grow with a skilled team of professionals. You will contribute to a variety of tasks essential to successful project completion while learning the trade in a supportive environment. In this role, you will work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient progress while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Gather, carry, and organize necessary materials
  • Clean work areas and maintain equipment
  • Measure and cut materials to specifications
  • Position equipment and tools as needed for installation
  • Operate scaffolding, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts
  • Use powder actuated tools and lasers
  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Help maintain construction schedules and phased timelines
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by your manager

What We're Looking for in You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • 0 to 1 years of experience in a construction-related trade
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in ceiling installation
  • Tools and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to pass a drug test

Education Requirements
Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
