Job Details SERVICING PERSONNEL OFFICE/UNIT: Office of Human Resources POSITION SERIES: DS- 1169 POSITION GRADE: DS- 09/11 IF "OPEN UNTIL FILLED," FIRST SCREENING DATE: March 2, 2026 TOUR OF DUTY: To Be Determined AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Unlimited PROMOTION POTENTIAL: DS- 11 NO. OF VACANCIES: One (1) or more AGENCY: Office of Tax and Revenue DURATION OF APPOINTMENT: Permanent COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT: This position is in a collective bargaining unit. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Collection and Enforcement Administration (CEA).

The incumbent collects delinquent taxes and secures delinquent tax returns from taxpayers who have not resolved their obligations in response to prior correspondence or other contact. Duties include, but are not limited to: conducting interviews with taxpayers (and/or their representatives) in different environments as part of the investigative process of collecting delinquent taxes and securing delinquent tax returns; counseling taxpayers on their tax filing status, deposit and payment obligations and any actions needed to bring taxpayer into full compliance; investigating, verifying, and analyzing taxpayers' financial conditions including any financial records or tangible assets and making recommendations to the supervisor to best collect on delinquent accounts. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of progressive experience performing duties related to analyzing financial records, evaluating assets, performing financial investigations, and providing guidance to taxpayers. Specialized Experience Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
