Duke has more than 15,000 students who study and conduct research in its 10 undergraduate, graduate and professional schools. With about 40,000 employees, Duke is the third largest private employer in North Carolina, and it now has international programs in more than 150 countries.
Be You. Be Bold. Choose Duke.
Be You.
At Duke University, we celebrate individuality and the unique perspectives that each member of our community brings. As the Administrative Intern with the Center for Documentary Studies (CDS), you'll contribute to a collaborative, creative environment supporting innovative documentary programs and lifelong learning opportunities such as Doc+ and Continuing Education.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting program delivery, enhancing participant experiences, and helping bring dynamic educational offerings to life across CDS programming.
What You'll Do:
  • Coordinate daily operations for the Doc+ program and associated summer programming
  • Support Continuing Education course logistics, including planning and administration
  • Assist and engage with visiting artists, instructors, and students
  • Coordinate events, workshops, and program logistics
  • Support communications, outreach, and marketing material development
  • Maintain program documentation, schedules, and administrative records
  • Provide general administrative and project support across CDS programming
What You'll Bring:
  • Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

  • Experience supporting program coordination, academic programs, or continuing/professional education (Doc+ experience preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Experience interacting with diverse groups, including students, faculty, and visiting professionals

Choose Duke.
