About the Opportunity:

Ready to build your career with a fast-growing company? National Security Systems is seeking lead technicians familiar with security alarm, fire alarm, access control and CCTV to join our team. In this role you will need to be familiar with the equipment, installation, and commissioning of security alarms, fire alarms, access control systems and camera installations. You must have the ability to work independently and lead other installers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and servicing of security alarm, fire alarm, access control, security cameras and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings.
  • Foreman will layout and provide direction to National Security Systems’ installers on site as well as coordinate and communicate with the project manager to efficiently complete the project on time and on budget.
  • Responsible for the execution of the installation project plan provided including equipment delivery, trouble shooting, commissioning as well as interface with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer's expectations.
  • Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.
  • Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Identify out of scope requests by the contractor or customer and notify management of pending changes.
  • Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient installation to complete scope.
  • Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Effectively communicate project status to management.
  • Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
  • Team player and leadership. Having potential to supervise and manage service installation department.
  • Penchant for neatness.

Qualifications:

  • A must is a minimum of 5 years successive experience as a technician installing and servicing of alarm systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
  • Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment.
  • Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs.
