The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Road, Americas is responsible for leading the commercial strategy and execution across the region, driving sustainable growth, customer success, and profitable business expansion. Reporting to the CEO, Road, Americas, the Regional CCO serves as the senior commercial leader for the Division, ensuring that regional commercial priorities support both regional business objectives and the Division's global commercial strategy.
Working in close partnership with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Road, Global, the role translates global commercial direction into regional execution while adapting to local market dynamics and customer requirements. The Regional CCO leads the regional commercial organization, develops high-performing commercial teams, strengthens strategic customer relationships, and drives commercial excellence through disciplined sales management, key account governance, and customer-centric execution.
As a member of the Regional Executive Leadership Team, the Regional CCO plays a critical role in shaping the Division's business strategy, accelerating growth, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and positioning DSV as the preferred logistics partner across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Regional Growth
  • Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy aligned with the Division's global commercial strategy, regional business priorities, and long-term growth ambitions.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, and market share expansion across all countries within the region.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, competitive developments, and customer trends to strengthen DSV's regional market position.
  • Translate global commercial initiatives into effective regional execution plans while adapting to local market conditions.
  • Contribute to regional business planning, investment decisions, and strategic growth initiatives as a member of the Regional Executive Leadership Team.

Commercial Leadership
  • Lead and inspire the regional commercial organization, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer success, collaboration, accountability, and commercial excellence.
  • Provide leadership to Country Commercial Leaders, Key Account Management, Business Development, and Commercial Excellence teams across the region.
  • Establish regional commercial objectives, monitor performance, and drive execution against growth and profitability targets.
  • Develop future commercial leaders through coaching, succession planning, capability building, and talent development.
  • Champion a customer-first culture that balances commercial ambition with operational excellence and long-term customer value.

Customer & Key Account Leadership
  • Sponsor executive relationships with the region's most strategic customers and serve as the senior commercial escalation point.
  • Drive consistent execution of Global and Regional Key Account strategies across countries and divisions.
  • Partner with Global Account Directors, Global Key Account teams, and Country Commercial Leaders to strengthen customer retention and expand strategic partnerships.

  • Promote customer-centric innovation and differentiated value propositions that enhance customer experience and competitive positioning.

Commercial Performance & Sales Excellence
  • Drive commercial performance through disciplined sales management, opportunity pipeline governance, forecasting accuracy, and account planning.
  • Monitor regional sales performance, customer profitability, market share, and commercial KPIs to ensure achievement of business objectives.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM, commercial analytics, and performance dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Promote consistent adoption of DSV's commercial methodologies, governance standards, and sales processes.
  • Collaborate with the Global Commercial Excellence organization to implement best practices, commercial tools, and capability-building initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Operations, IT, P&O, Finance and other business functions to deliver integrated customer solutions.
  • Ensure commercial commitments are aligned with operational capabilities and financial objectives.
  • Foster collaboration across countries, regions, and divisions to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Lead commercial input into regional transformation initiatives, strategic projects, and continuous improvement programs.

Governance & Strategic Alignment
  • Ensure alignment between regional commercial execution and the Division's global commercial strategy through regular engagement with the Global Division CCO.
  • Drive consistent application of commercial governance, pricing discipline, risk management, and sales compliance across the region.
  • Provide strategic market insights, customer intelligence, and commercial recommendations to regional and global leadership.
  • Represent the Division in executive customer engagements, industry forums, and regional leadership discussions.
  • Promote a culture of integrity, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the commercial organization.

Role Requirements
  • A relevant university degree that equips you with strong analytical and professional foundations.
  • Minimum 10 years executive level experience in leading managed transportation teams related marketing and sales activity
  • 18-20 years of progressive commercial leadership experience within road brokerage, trucking, logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, contract logistics, or another complex global B2B industry.
  • Significant experience leading multi-country commercial organizations with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and customer strategy.
  • Proven success developing and executing regional commercial strategies that deliver sustainable business growth.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large customer-facing commercial organizations and developing high-performing leadership teams.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including strategic planning, pricing, forecasting, pipeline governance, business case development, and profitability management.
  • Experience managing executive customer relationships with multinational organizations and leading complex commercial negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively within a global matrix organization across regional and global leadership teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and executive decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
