Job description

Job Title: L3 Network Operations and Implementation Engineer – LAN/WLAN

Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid)

Role Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated L3 Network Engineer provide Level 3 network support and to implement LAN and WLAN infrastructure at sites across the North and South America. The ideal candidate will hold at least a CCNA certification, possess strong experience in configuring Cisco network switches and wireless access points, and can manage third-party wiring vendors effectively. This role requires a commitment to extensive travel, flexibility to work off-hours and weekends, and a focus on delivering high-quality network solutions in a dynamic environment. Trilingual in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Configure switches and wireless access points.
  • Perform site assessments to evaluate current network infrastructure and develop action plans for equipment refresh. 
  • Work collaboratively with wiring vendors to oversee and ensure proper cabling and device installations and terminations meet project standards.
  • Manage and troubleshoot network issues during the deployment and provide Level 3 hyper care support as needed. 
  • Document network configurations, topologies, and changes to maintain accurate records. 
  • Adhere to project timelines and deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality and performance. 
  • Travel extensively (up to 25%) to various sites across South America, Mexico, the United States and Canada, including weekends and off-hours work as necessary.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum Certification: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) preferred. 
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing network devices, including Cisco and Juniper switches and wireless access points. 
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WLAN networking protocols.
  • Familiarity with cabling standards and experience managing wiring vendors. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. 
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders. 
  • Availability to travel internationally, extensively (up to 25%) and work weekends or during off-hours as required.
