Job description

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and learning in a vibrant school environment near Deatsville, AL. This onsite role focuses on Speech-Language Pathology, serving diverse caseloads across elementary and magnet school settings through both therapy delivery and evaluations—making a real difference for students each day.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
  • Valid Alabama ASHA certification
  • Alabama Educator SLP certification (start possible if this is pending; verification available via the state certification portal)
  • Experience delivering SLP services within schools highly preferred
  • Skill providing both individual and group therapy, as well as conducting comprehensive evaluations
  • Organized and adaptable, especially when managing a dynamic caseload

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy and conduct thorough evaluations for school-aged children
  • Maintain a caseload of no more than 60 students, ensuring focused, individualized care
  • Work collaboratively with general and special education teams, families, and administrators
  • Document all services and progress in accordance with school practices and compliance standards
  • Travel between assigned school campuses, depending on placement (single or split campuses)
  • Engage in IEP meetings and team planning to support student success
