Job Summary

The Senior SAP FICO Functional Consultant is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling (FICO) processes. This role will serve as the finance subject matter expert and strategic partner to Accounting, FP&A, and Operational Finance teams to deliver business-aligned solutions. The consultant will support ongoing stabilization and continuous improvement following our successful go-live with RISE with SAP. Given our S/4HANA environment, experience with Fiori applications and a strong understanding of SAP Analytics and reporting tools is critical.

On-Site Expectations
  • 100% on-site position.
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the SAP FICO functional SME in a post-go-live RISE with SAP environment.
  • Lead configuration and support for key modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Project Systems (PS) and Controlling & Profitability Analysis (COPA).
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather requirements and implement process improvements aligned to business goals.
  • Ensure proper integration of FICO with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, and Project Systems.
  • Support month-end close, cost center planning, profitability analysis, and internal orders.
  • Work closely with technical teams to develop and test custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Lead UAT and training activities for new system functionalities and process changes.
  • Ensure financial processes meet compliance, audit, and reporting requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and participate in the SAP Change Board and future SAP roadmap planning.
  • Create and maintain functional documentation including configuration specs, SOPs, and process flows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of SAP FICO experience with at least 3 years in S/4HANA.
  • SAP certification in a relevant FICO or S/4HANA area is desired.
  • Hands-on experience with GL, AP, AR, AA, CO (CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing), and integration with other modules.
  • Prior experience supporting or leading a RISE with SAP implementation is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of financial close processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working in a regulated or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP FICO best practices and configuration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex finance-related SAP issues.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, documentation, and training delivery.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and collaborating across functional teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Travel Expectations
  • Up to 25% travel expected.
