Position Summary: Vantage Hemp is seeking a Manager of Facility Operations to lead facility maintenance, equipment reliability, and workplace safety across our 24-hour manufacturing operation. In this role, you'll oversee facility systems, utilities, maintenance programs, and safety initiatives while partnering closely with Production, Quality, and Leadership teams to support efficient, compliant operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a direct impact on operational performance, team development, and company growth.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
Facility Operations & Maintenance Leadership – 50%

  • Lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance of facility equipment, utilities, and production support systems.
  • Build, coach, and develop a maintenance team to support a multi-shift manufacturing operation.
  • Drive preventive and corrective maintenance programs that improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support production goals.
  • Oversee equipment lifecycle management, calibration programs, maintenance records, inventories, and technical documentation.
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.
  • Plan and oversee facility upgrades, repairs, and improvement projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving for equipment and facility issues.
  • Support employee training on equipment, maintenance procedures, safety practices, and operational standards.
Quality Compliance & Continuous Improvement – 30%
  • Help maintain a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout facility operations.
  • Ensure maintenance and facility activities meet GMP and regulatory requirements through accurate documentation and strong operational practices.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, and Leadership teams to resolve issues, improve workflows, and support manufacturing performance.
  • Drive completion of audits, corrective actions, preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, safety, and operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in hiring, coaching, employee development, and performance management activities.
Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) Leadership – 20%
  • Champion workplace safety initiatives that help create a safe, compliant, and productive environment for all employees.
  • Lead safety training, hazard mitigation efforts, and compliance activities across facility operations.
  • Monitor workplace hazards, safety metrics, and incident trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, CDPHE, and other applicable safety standards.
  • Maintain safety documentation, certifications, permits, and required records. 
  • Serve as a trusted resource and advisor to leadership on operational safety and compliance matters.
Assist with other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience needed for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, equipment maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting facility operations, maintenance, PLCs, and HVAC systems required.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated environment required.
  • Experience working with hazardous materials, chemicals, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, hemp, cannabis extraction, food production, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries is a plus.
  • Experience with commissioning, IQ/OQ/PQ, BAS systems, CMMS platforms, or project management is preferred.

 Specialized skills needed to be successful:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage priorities, and build accountability.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational support.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, maintenance systems, safety standards, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and operational demands.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Work Hours: This is a full-time position supporting a 24-hour manufacturing operation. Hours are generally Monday - Friday. This may vary based on operational needs for occasional after-hours operationship issues. Some travel may be required (up to 10%).
Annual Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 (depending on experience)
