With 12 thriving locations in Virginia, 9 dealerships in Richmond, 1 in Farmville, 1 in Roanoke, 1 Car Buying Center in Richmond, Haley is seeking a mission minded automotive professional to take the lead on vehicle acquisitions for Haley Toyota of Richmond. This role will play a pivotal part in acquiring vehicles for the dealership while delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving incremental business growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire pre-owned inventory for the dealership in conjunction with Sales Managers.
  • Utilize the CRM and all available prospecting resources to identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicles, including third-party websites, lead sources, and service drive traffic.
  • Oversee consistent interaction with customers, both in person and over the phone, and make cold contact with prospects. Actively drive incremental business growth through high-level customer engagement.
  • Use the CRM to set appointments for prospects to visit the dealership for appraisals and execute vehicle acquisition paperwork and payment process.
  • Refer potential buyers to Sales Associates/Managers and collaborate to execute the sales process seamlessly.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience, manage customer expectations, and ensure efficient communication throughout the acquisition process.
  • Collaborate daily with various individuals and teams within the dealership, including the General Manager and General Sales Manager, Used Vehicle Manager, Sales and Internet Sales Managers, Service Customers, Sales Associates, Service Advisors, and other support staff.
  • Review vehicle condition reports, determining wholesale and retail prices, and oversee vehicle inspections and acceptance.
  • Utilize sound judgment, research, and strong interpersonal skills to make offers on vehicles and successfully close purchases.

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of proven leadership experience in vehicle procurement or a similar automotive role. He or she must conduct themselves professionally, have strong computer and technology, organizational, follow-up, and time management skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work in a collaborative environment and be a self-motivated individual who has a track record of achieving targeted goals is also a must.

Experience with VinSolutions and a post-secondary education is desired but not required.
