Job description


  • Mentor, coach, and help develop engineers

  • Translate customer requirements into innovative, fully functional mechanical systems

  • Optimize baggage-system functionality with Electrical Engineers, Controls Engineers, Supply Chain, Installation, and other project-team members

  • Design and deliver mechanical models using Revit and AutoCAD 3D

  • Perform spatial analysis of clearance envelopes, egress pathways, ergonomics, and maintenance access to ensure safe system design

  • Perform system- and component-level calculations, including throughput, motor power, belt pull, and reactive forces to building structures

  • Coordinate building interfaces, resolve clashes, and ensure efficient constructability

  • Support procurement by creating bills of materials and equipment RFQs

  • Provide complete engineering documentation for installation and project execution

  • Support installation and commissioning teams by resolving challenges on-site and remotely from the office


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in project management or leading teams

  • Material handling experience

  • Ability to think conceptually about overall systems and translate concepts into detailed system designs

  • Proficiency in Autodesk tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, ACC/Forma, and similar tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Excel, Power BI, Project, and similar tools

  • Clear, proactive communication and ability to align expectations and deliver commitments

  • Ability to prioritize effectively in time-sensitive situations while maintaining attention to detail
