ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role serves as the technical bridge between creative livery design and production execution, transforming conceptual artwork into precise 3D CATIA geometry, digital mylars, and technical drawings that meet the requirements of aircraft paint application. The position is responsible for owning assigned deliverables from start to finish-ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Teague's quality standards. Collaboration is central to the work, with regular interaction across design, engineering, and external partners to interpret design intent, verify feasibility, and maintain clear communication throughout the production lifecycle.
In addition to day-to-day CAD development, this role contributes to continuous improvement by participating in workflow discussions, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, and applying thoughtful problem-solving to technical challenges involving geometry, scale, or application methods. The position supports production reviews, maintains organized and compliant documentation, and may require periodic travel or onsite presence to engage with clients, partner teams, and key project milestones. Overall, the role combines creativity, precision, and hands-on technical work to support the successful delivery of aircraft livery and paint-production programs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
OWNING
  • Support the translation of creative livery concepts into accurate CATIA design files that are production-ready.
  • Take ownership of assigned project deliverables, ensuring precision, consistency, and on-time completion.

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Drafting, Mechanical Design, Aerospace Technology, Engineering Graphics, or Computer-Aided Design (CAD) - or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-4+ years of experience working in CATIA V5 or similar 3D CAD systems, ideally in aerospace, automotive, or large-scale surface modeling environments.
  • Strong understanding of geometric accuracy, data structure, and 3D-to-2D translation principles.
  • Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office for visualization, documentation, and communication tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational habits, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow technical fluency in aircraft livery and paint-production workflows.

The salary range for this job in most US geographic locations is $70,000 - $105,000.
