St. David Catholic School in Davie, Florida is looking for an energetic and creative Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2026- 27 school year. The candidate should be professional, disciplined and be a team player. The candidate should be willing to take on extracurricular duties as requested by the principal. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for assigned grade levels. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
  • BS / BA Degree in Elementary Education.
  • Florida Department of Education Teacher certificate is required, temporary or professional.
  • Must obtain catechetical certificate from the Archdiocese Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
