An outstanding leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN Manager to join a well-established 317-bed acute care hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

We are seeking a strong cardiovascular nursing leader with significant Cath Lab clinical experience and proven CVL leadership experience. This position offers oversight of a comprehensive cardiovascular procedural service line, including the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional/Special Procedures, Electrophysiology, and Pre/Post Holding Unit.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Coordinator, or current Manager who is ready to take on broader operational leadership within a busy acute care environment.

About the Opportunity

The hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services and has earned recognition for clinical excellence across several specialties. The organization offers advanced cardiovascular, orthopedic, spine, emergency, diagnostic imaging, and wound care services and is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center.

The Cardiac Cath Lab RN Manager will provide clinical and operational leadership for cardiovascular procedural services while working closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care, employee engagement, and efficient department operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for the Cardiac Cath Lab and associated cardiovascular procedural services.
  • Oversee operations within the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional/Special Procedures, Electrophysiology, and Pre/Post Holding areas.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care on a 24-hour basis.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing and clinical staff while promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource utilization to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient department operations.
  • Partner closely with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, interventional physicians, nursing leadership, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote strong physician relationships and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Monitor clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience, and departmental performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and evidence-based cardiovascular practices.
  • Support staff recruitment, retention, orientation, education, competency validation, and performance management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient flow, operational efficiency, productivity, and overall department performance.
  • Effectively manage departmental resources while maintaining high standards of patient care and controlling costs.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for patients, families, physicians, and staff.
Required Qualifications
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse license or qualifying Compact RN license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of cardiovascular/Cath Lab clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular leadership experience at the Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Coordinator, or higher level.
Must-Have Experience

Candidates must have a strong cardiovascular procedural background. The hiring team is specifically seeking:

  • 3+ years of Cardiac Cath Lab/CVL clinical experience
  • 2+ years of CVL leadership experience
  • Acute care hospital experience
  • Current RN licensure
  • BSN
  • Hands-on understanding of Cath Lab clinical operations and patient care

Leadership experience may include:

  • Cardiac Cath Lab Manager
  • Cardiovascular Services Manager
  • Cath Lab Assistant Nurse Manager
  • Cath Lab/CVL Coordinator
  • Cath Lab Charge Nurse
  • Interventional Services Nursing Leader

Candidates with cardiovascular leadership experience beyond the Charge Nurse level will be particularly competitive.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will combine excellent Cath Lab clinical knowledge with demonstrated leadership ability.

We're seeking someone who can:

  • Build strong relationships with interventional cardiologists and other physicians.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing cardiovascular team.
  • Successfully manage a fast-paced procedural environment.
  • Improve patient flow, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Effectively manage staffing and departmental resources.
  • Maintain high standards for patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Coach and develop employees while creating a positive, accountable workplace culture.
  • Balance hands-on clinical knowledge with strong operational leadership.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Compensation: $42.36–$61.50
Midpoint: $52.96/hour

Based on a standard 40-hour workweek, the hourly range is approximately equivalent to $88,100–$127,900 annually, before bonuses or other compensation.

The organization also offers:

  • Sign-on bonus eligibility
  • Relocation assistance eligibility
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Retirement benefits
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development and leadership advancement opportunities
  • Additional employee benefits and resources
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This position provides an opportunity to lead a broad cardiovascular procedural service line rather than managing only a traditional Cath Lab. You'll have responsibility across Cath Lab, Interventional Services, Electrophysiology, and Pre/Post Holding, providing excellent exposure for continued advancement within cardiovascular nursing leadership.

For an accomplished Cath Lab RN leader looking for greater responsibility—or an experienced Charge Nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager ready to advance—this is an excellent opportunity to move into a highly visible management role within a substantial South Florida acute care hospital.

Qualified cardiovascular nursing leaders interested in this confidential Fort Lauderdale opportunity are encouraged to apply.
