Per Diem Radiological Technologist

We are seeking a qualified Radiological Technologist for immediate placement in our Vascular Access Center located in Huntsville, AL.The ideal candidate will [enter years of desired experience] experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, cardiac catheterization; experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus.
The Radiological Technologist will assist the clinical team with vascular access procedures, maintaining a sterile field and providing support during pre and post procedures . This is a challenging, fast-pace job with Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights and weekend shifts. Access Center hours Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assist clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm, scrub-in for procedures, clean and sterilize tools and equipment
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies
  • Maintain radiology safety-monitoring procedures and may serve as the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for the center or Safety Officer
  • Assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and provide assistance in transporting patients within the center
  • Participate in community education activities regarding access center

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State license and/or fluoroscopic permit to practice radiologic technology if required by state law
  • Associates degree in science or successful completion of a formal educational program accepted by ARRT
  • 1 year experience in general diagnostic, special procedures or cardiac catheterization
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardia Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic computer skills
