Job description:
Chef / Cook Supervisor team members assist with assuring the health and well-being of our residents by being involved in direct preparation of food for service to residents. They are also responsible for functions related to recipe use, production levels, quality control and supervision of wait staff / dishwashers. Specifically, the Chef / Cook Supervisors must:
  • determine and prepare appropriate food quantities for each meal
  • maintain safety and sanitation standards at each stage of meal preparation and service, including serving temperatures and times
  • assist in care, maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment
  • supervise all staff on assigned shifts, including responsibility of the completion of staff tasks

Experience and Skills
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age required; HS diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food protection principles; ability to follow and prepare modified diets
  • Ability to carry out cooking tasks at a safe and efficient level of performance
  • High degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene required
