About Us

At B&B Catering & Events, we donโ€™t just serve foodโ€”we craft moments. Since 1989, our team has delivered warm, creative hospitality and unforgettable experiences across the Bay Area. From intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations, our mission is simple: deliver joy through beautiful, thoughtful, and flavorful events.

The Heart of the Role: What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

As an Event Chef I, youโ€™ll bring precision, professionalism, and culinary excellence to life at a wide range of eventsโ€”from corporate lunches to weddings. Youโ€™ll work alongside a lead Event Chef to prep and execute beautiful menus on-site, ensuring every dish reflects the quality and care B&B is known for.

How Youโ€™ll Help Bring Events to Life

In this role, here is what you will do:

  • Prepare and cook food per detailed menu sheets (BEOs), following B&B standards
  • Assist the lead Event Chef in event setup and execution, including buffet layout and prep stations
  • Pack and transport equipment and ingredients using a catering van
  • Clean, sanitize, and organize kitchen and event spaces before, during, and after service
  • Ask clarifying questions ahead of events to ensure alignment with the custom menu and logistics
  • Assist with event breakdown, including unloading equipment and repacking gear
  • Monitor equipment conditions and report needed repairs or replacements
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety practices
  • Represent B&Bโ€™s brand of caring hospitality at every event

  • Working knowledge of professional kitchen equipment and food safety protocols
  • ServSafe Certified or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to work in fast-paced environments with tight timelines
  • Punctual, organized, and able to adapt to changing event needs
  • Available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
