SUMMARY
The Spa Receptionist ("El/la Recepcionista de Spa") welcomes the spa guest in a warm, friendly manner and proactively communicates with the guest over the phone in a friendly and courteous manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Provides a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to our guests.
  • Carefully listens to guests and ensures services requested are reserved and schedule.
  • Serves as guest liaison with treatment providers to ensure the guest is aware of the service process.
  • Answers the phone in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Follows the proper steps to make a treatment reservation.
  • Seeks the opportunity to up-sell and recommend other hotel outlets to our guests.
  • Manages the reservation system and updates reservation schedules on a regular basis.
  • Accurately records all transactions and performs daily audits.
  • Ensures all retail products are well displayed for the guest.
  • Supports the spa director and offers assistance with projects and inventories.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
