Job description

Description:

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will have direct responsibility representing Catalyst Pharmaceuticals products to medical professionals who specialize in the treatment of Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome. The RAMโ€™s will be expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, competency and to always operate in a compliant manner while achieving their respective objectives. Maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers.


This is a remote position covering the Red Rock geography. Potential candidates should reside in the following states: Arizona or Nevada and have access to airports in major cities within those locations.

Requirements:

Roles and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

  • Clearly understand and implement the marketing plan, accurately articulate the value proposition of the brand, and only utilize on-label and marketing materials approved by Regulatory/Compliance in order to attain sales/patient objectives
  • Must be able to analyze local and regional business/managed markets trends in order to build both long and short terms goals that lead to a successful business plan
  • Work in a matrix environment encompassing patient support services, specialty pharmacies, Marketing, Managed Care, Corporate Communications, and Medical Affairs
  • Meet regularly with targeted HCPs and staff within assigned geography to conduct disease awareness and product promotion
  • Utilize a consultative, science-driven approach, and provide the HCP with the information that he/she needs to make the best decision for his/her patient
  • Drives patient identification initiatives
  • Manage a territory budget in a manner that complies with all Catalyst Pharmaceutical compliance policies
  • Utilize CRM system to accurately document account profiles in a timely manner
  • All above activities must be conducted with the highest degree of ethics and integrity and in compliance with company policies and applicable law
  • May be required to participate in local (or national) patient advocacy events to generate awareness about Catalyst support for patient community and provide disease state/product information (as appropriate and approved by Regulatory/Compliance). These activities may take place in evenings or weekends but would not occur greater than 8x/year

Education/Experience/skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in life science, business, or healthcare preferred
  • Minimum of 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales or related experience
  • Experience in Neurology, Rare/Orphan Space is preferred
  • Recent biopharmaceutical launch experience (within the past 3-5 yrs) preferred
  • Ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centers
  • Selling a product that requires extensive coordination with patient access services
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, on a consistent basis
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities

Travel:

  • Travel within the assigned territory on a routine basis; 60% overnight travel is required to see all target customers, attend meetings on a local and national basis, and attend training sessions as required for this position
  • Must have a valid driverโ€™s license issued in the US with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel on weekends to work conferences may be required

The base salary for this position will range from $193,000 to $203,000. Candidate experience, professional licensing, and geographic location will be taken into consideration.
