We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Assistant Parts Manager to support the daily operations of our Parts Department. This role assists with customer service, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and coordination of delivery processes. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and ready to grow within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist walk-in customers with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Learn and effectively utilize the parts catalog to source and identify parts.
  • Complete all required parts and product training.
  • Assist with processing and fulfilling orders generated by the sales team.
  • Support set-up and tear-down of parts displays for promotions or events.
  • Aid in receiving shipments as they arrive, ensuring accurate processing.
  • Stock and organize products once processed, including replenishing shelves from overstock.
  • Maintain a clean, organized shipping and receiving area.
  • Manage and oversee the delivery driver workflow, including preparation, routing, and tracking of outgoing deliveries.
  • Assist in the overall management of the department

Essential functions:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. (approximately 10% of daily work).
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (approximately 95% of daily work).
  • Perform all incoming and outgoing parts and materials processing.
  • Load and unload trucks, including manual handling as needed.
  • Competency with basic computer functions and inventory systems.

Qualifications:

  • Skills: Organization and attention to detail is a must.
  • Experience:3-5 years parts experience preferred, prior leadership experience preferred 
  • Licenses: Good driving record.
  • Specialized training: Operation of forklift helpful, but not necessary. You will be required to obtain forklift certification once employed.
