U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.

This Senior ServiceNow Catalog Engineer will be responsible for developing, configuring, and optimizing the Service Catalog in ServiceNow. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain catalog items and workflows to support seamless self-service experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain ServiceNow catalog items, including associated variables, variable sets, and workflows.

  • Work closely with business units to gather and understand requirements and translate them into functional catalog solutions.

  • Develop and maintain Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, or Script Includes for automation and approvals.

  • Ensure catalog items align with ServiceNow, and U.S. Bank best practices and user experience standards.

  • Configure client scripts, UI policies, business rules, and ACL's to support dynamic catalog behavior and security.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve catalog-related issues.

  • Perform unit testing, UAT support, and production deployment support of new or updated catalog items, fix scripts or any other catalog related enhancements.

  • Provide documentation and training for catalog item usage and administration.

  • Develop and implement scripts in the ServiceNow catalog module to automate tasks and integrate with external systems.

  • Manage the ServiceNow release cycle, including deployment planning and execution.

  • Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes, and conducting root cause analysis.

  • Mentor junior engineers. Provide guidance on best practices in ServiceNow development and configuration.

  • Stay current with the latest updates and features in ServiceNow. Evaluate how new updates and features could benefit the organization.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Five or more years of ServiceNow development experience.

  • Has ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Admin) Certification.

  • Has ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer) Certification.

  • Availability to support production releases on Wednesday evenings on a rotational basis.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Profound knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities, including an understanding of the latest releases and updates.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and HTML/CSS within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Experience working with Flow Designer, Catalog UI polices, and Client Scripts.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Experience with integrating ServiceNow with other business systems using REST, SOAP, and other relevant web services.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Workflow and Automation: Ability to design and implement complex workflows and automate processes to enhance service operations.

  • Security Practices: Understanding of security best practices within ServiceNow development, including data privacy and role-based access controls.

  • AI/Gen AI Knowledge of implementing and customizing ServiceNow's AI, including NLU (Natural Language Understanding) and integration with AI services.

  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically to overcome development challenges.

  • Project Management: Experience in Agile methodologies and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

  • ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Develop) Certification.

  • ServiceNow employee experience support products etc. Catalog, Portal, Mobile, WSD etc.

Location Expectation

There is an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
