Job Summary:

As a Senior Product Owner for Rental Digital at Caterpillar, you will own the Helios Rental Data domain as a product, ensuring data availability, quality, and readiness across key rental objects. You will define and maintain data standards, identify and close data gaps, and act as the bridge between business needs and data delivery.

You will translate requirements into data-driven features, support analytics and digital applications, and lead dealer data integration, validation, and deployment efforts. Additionally, you will manage the data backlog and partner with engineering and dealer teams to resolve data quality issues and ensure scalable, consistent rental data across the ecosystem.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the Rental Data team in managing the Helios Rental Data domain by assisting with data availability, structure, quality, and readiness across key rental objects (e.g., fleet, customers, jobsites, contracts, invoices, and rates), contributing to overall data standardization and governance efforts

  • Assist in maintaining rental data attributes and supporting identification of gaps between business needs and the Helios Rental Data Model, helping track and drive actions to address those gaps

  • Support translation of business requirements into data-related backlog items, features, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with downstream analytics, reporting, and digital application needs

  • Assist in dealer integration and deployment activities, including:

  • Supporting deployment planning and dealer onboarding coordination

  • Assisting with kick-off sessions, pre-deployment reviews, and data mapping discussions

  • Helping collect and profile dealer data for integration readiness

  • Support end-to-end validation of dealer rental data ingested into Helios to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems

  • Identify, track, and assist in resolution of:

  • Data quality issues and defects

  • Missing, inconsistent, or misinterpreted attributes

  • Integration gaps across dealer systems

  • Assist in managing and maintaining the data backlog focused on data quality improvements, standardization, and model enhancements

  • Partner with engineering, integration teams, and Rental SMEs to support resolution of data-related issues and ensure consistent data delivery across the rental ecosystem

  • Contribute to enforcing data governance standards, documentation, and best practices to enable scalable, reliable rental data for analytics, reporting, and digital platform consumption

What You Will Have:

  • Software Problem Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products.

  • Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $183,140.00
