Vacuum Castor: Montgomery, Illinois
Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Vacuum Castors to work full-time on 2nd shift. As a Vacuum Castor, you will be responsible for performing casting operations using vacuum and related equipment, ensuring quality and safety throughout the process.
 
Responsibilities of the Vacuum Castor:
  • Perform duties to coat, assemble, and pour into simple molds under supervision and following demonstrations or instructions.
  • Assist in vacuum casting operations and work with higher-level casters during more complex casting processes.
  • Check melt temperature, skim and clear the surface, dip and pour the specified amount of molten metal into molds.
  • Operate die opening machines, separate and remove cast parts, and inspect for quality.
  • Clean crucibles and furnaces; report equipment malfunctions, material issues, and unusual conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; may assist with handling large parts and operate power trucks as needed.
 
Vacuum Castor Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Willingness to train; no prior casting experience required.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions, demonstrations, and safety procedures.
  • Comfortable working around hot materials and heavy machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to wear steel-toed shoes and other required protective equipment.
  • Physically able to lift, move, and handle materials using hoists, ladles, and other casting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to report issues clearly and work effectively in a team setting.
 
Pay for Vacuum Castor: Starting at $23/hour.
