Job description

Solid Cast I – Manufacturing Associate

Location: Worcester, MA)
Schedule: 1st Shift | 4:30 AM – 1:00 PM | Monday–Friday
Type: Contract (Possible extension or temp-to-perm after 6 months, not guaranteed)


About the Role

Seeking a Solid Cast I to join its manufacturing team in Worcester, MA. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for casting large and complex molds using solid cast methods, assembling molds, pouring mixes, and staging molds to dry. You’ll play a key part in both product and process development within a temperature-controlled facility.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, assemble, and set up molds for casting operations.

  • Follow detailed work orders and blueprints to ensure precision.

  • Use lifting equipment (hoists, flipping devices, lifting straps) for mold handling.

  • Pour/pump raw materials into plaster molds and backfill as needed.

  • Demold parts using hoists and powered tools, and load finished parts onto drying racks.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow standard operating procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).

  • Prior manufacturing experience (strongly preferred).

  • Basic understanding of measuring and using scales.

  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, tapes, etc.).

  • Basic computer and math skills (standard and metric measurements).

  • Willingness to learn and become proficient within 3 months.
