As the EVS Utility Porter, you play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the casino and public areas by using specialized equipment and following established procedures. You contribute to delivering excellent guest service and upholding company standards by ensuring all assigned areas are clean, safe, and guest-ready

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
  • Regularly clean high and low surfaces including signs, vents, and windows using ladders or high lifts (up to 25 feet)
  • Scrub, polish, disinfect, and wipe surfaces such as trash cans, sinks, toilets, urinals, furniture, and fixtures
  • Clean and maintain casino floor including vacuuming, removing debris from gaming tables, and cleaning ashtrays, glassware, etc.
  • Maintain and store cleaning equipment properly; report repair needs to management
  • Utilize proper cleaning procedures and equipment to maintain hard floors and carpeting
  • Handle and dispose of biohazardous materials in compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1 year of janitorial or porter experience in a casino or similar environment preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience using carpet cleaners, high-speed buffers, power washers, and marble polishers
  • Familiarity with procedures for maintaining various hard surfaces, waxing, and use of chemical cleaning agents
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
