Job Description

Responsible for monitoring the activities of the casino floor (table games, slots, cages and count room). Utilizes the necessary surveillance equipment to respond to, identify and record questionable activities.

  • Performs all activities and job duties in accordance with the department policies and procedures, Internal Control regulations and the Indiana Gaming Laws and Rules.
  • Acquires a thorough knowledge of all table games, gaming functions and methods of cheating/theft. Develops the ability to observe all gaming areas from a Surveillance perspective.
  • Acquires knowledge of all other department’s procedures and is alert for deviations from the Internal Controls and the Indiana Gaming Laws and Rules. Reports all deviations to Lead Agent, Surveillance Supervisor and/or Director.
  • Is alert for any act of a suspicious and/or illegal nature and advises Lead Agent, Supervisor and/or Director when any such activity is observed.
  • Performs close watches on casino areas and/or employees as directed by the Lead Agent, Supervisor and/or Director.
  • Makes entries on the Daily Shift Report and writes Surveillance Reports as necessary.

Obtains a strong working knowledge of all equipment used by the department.

Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of casino games, regulations and knowledge of game cheating/theft methods and related illegal activity preferred.
  • Asset protection or loss prevention experience preferred.
  • High school diploma preferred.

Good observation skills, math skills and report writing skills required.
