About the Role

The Service Cashier receives payments for products or services sold by the dealership and plays a key role in providing a positive customer experience. This role manages cash handling, reconciliations, and customer transactions while supporting other administrative functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers at service checkout in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Compute customer bills accurately
  • Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments and record amounts received
  • Make change and issue receipts to customers
  • Provide refunds or credit memorandums for returned merchandise as directed by management
  • Reconcile cash drawer daily and ensure accuracy
  • Work with service manager to stay informed of products, services, features, and pricing changes
  • Answer customer questions regarding products or services, or refer them to the appropriate team member
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, escalating when necessary
  • Provide clerical and secretarial assistance to departments as needed
  • Serve as backup to the switchboard operator
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a neat, organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and transactions
