What You'll Do:
As a Cashier, you will be at the forefront of our customer service efforts, ensuring each guest has a pleasant and efficient shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Engage with Guests: Engage in friendly conversations, make eye contact, and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.
  • Efficient Transactions: Scan grocery items, process sales and efficiently, and handle monetary transactions with care.
  • Bagging with Care: As needed, bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in the condition they left our store.
  • Stay Informed: Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.
  • Maintain Order: Keep your register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Communication: Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Teamwork: Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.

  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding retail sales and service.
  • Retail Experience: Ability to process information and merchandise transactions and hande cash and media at registers.
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with both customers and retail associate team members.
  • Accuracy: Ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.
