Job description

The Bagger is responsible to perform duties as directed by the Frontend Manager and/or Asst. Frontend Manager for the successful operation of the Front-end department. The Bagger is responsible to see that all Kennie's customers are provided with the best customer service available.
We are currently looking for applicants who would be available to work between 9am and 5pm.
Requirements:
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required. Training will be provided.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of this organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: None.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Bags all groceries as neatly as possible according to bagging guidelines and/or customer requests.
  • Check on prices for the cashier if something does not scan or is not marked.
  • Keep bag compartments at the registers filled at all times.
  • Keep bag compartments and register areas clean and free of clutter at all times.
  • Responsible for helping customers with their purchases from the store to their vehicle.
  • Assist customers in loading purchases into their vehicle.
  • Bring empty carts from the parking lot to their proper storage area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at the front of the store and in the parking lot; picking up litter, emptying garbage cans, cleaning spills and removing snow.
  • Cooperate with fellow department employees and with other departments when inter-departmental or store wide promotions warrant.
  • Responsible to obey all safety standards as well as loss prevention standards as outlined by the company.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as directed by the Office Manager, Assistant Office Manager, Cash Office, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
  • Adheres to company uniform policy and name badge policy.
