Job description

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Cash Applications Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will focus on processing payments, applying cash to invoices, reconciling accounts, and resolving payment discrepancies.


Responsibilities:

  • Process and apply client and insurance payments
  • Reconcile accounts and bank deposits
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
  • Process refunds, adjustments, and write-offs
  • Prepare cash application and A/R reports
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Communicate with clients and insurance carriers regarding payments


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of cash applications, accounts receivable, or billing experience within a law firm
  • Strong Excel and accounting software skills
  • Aderant experience preferred
  • Law firm or insurance defense experience is a plus
